GOD JUL!

I finally got my blog up and running again, just in time for the Christmas Greetings! Because this computer does not have the last three letters of the Norwegian alphabet, I am writing this in English.

So, what has happened since I wrote my first travel-note in my Facebook profile? Well, my MASTER CARD is still in shock from my trip to the Mall of America (MOA) and downtown Minneapolis. The exchange rate is insanely good, and with every other store promising discounts of 50 % - 70 %, I got some good deals! The MOA is just fun to walk around, it's so huge it has an amusement park and aquarium inside. And, my favorite, a movie theatre with 14 screens. Have seen The Perfect Holiday (not so good) and National Treasure - Book of Secrets (predictable, but good. You sit there wishing the store was true.)

Today I flew to Portland, OR, and I basicly spent the entire day on a plane. I had a connecting flight in Phoenix, so I left winter behind in Minneapolis (minus 11), arrived in sunny Phoenix(plus 18), and ended up in rainy Portland(plus 14). It was like seeing all the four seasons in one day!

Tomorrow will be the first Christmas Eve in years that I have not seen a) snow b)pinnekjoett or c)risengrynsgrot. But who needs that, when there is warm humid air outside, Christmas music on the radio and chocolate chip cookies for dessert??

Well, should wrap it up for tonight. It's almost 8AM Christmas Eve morning in Norway, and I just wanted to say:

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

J
